Important Retrofit Information

When retrofitting this steering wheel to an older or different Volkswagen model, only functions already supported by the vehicle may operate automatically.

Buttons for functions that the vehicle does not originally support may remain for appearance only unless additional modules, wiring, coding or other modifications are carried out.

Depending on the vehicle, some original steering-wheel components may need to be transferred and reused to retain existing functions.

› Some steering wheels include LED display, some do not.

› LED functions may show RPM, speed, shift lights, boost, voltage, oil temperature, coolant temperature, and selectable colors.

› LED data depends on the vehicle and OBD compatibility.

› Multifunction buttons: optional.

› Paddle shifters: optional.

› Airbag module: optional.

› LED display: only for versions shown with LED.

› Some steering wheels include extra R8-style buttons, such as Drive Select, Start / Stop, or additional function buttons.

› R8-style buttons are included only when shown in the product photos, selected, or confirmed before production.

› If your original steering wheel already has the same functions, they may be retained when configured correctly.

› If your original car does not have these functions, the buttons may require extra wiring, coding, modules, or modification.

› R8-style buttons are not guaranteed to work plug & play on vehicles that did not originally support those functions.

› Compatibility depends on your original steering wheel, vehicle equipment, wiring, and confirmed configuration.

› ACC, steering wheel heating, and vibration/lane assist are supported only where compatible.

› These functions normally work only if your vehicle originally has them or has been correctly retrofitted.
